Dan wasn't worried about what the others thought. He knew it was a dumb idea. He didn't try to make them upset but they just had to see how bad it was going to go. Anyone could tell that once the crate left the ground it was game over for the pieces inside. Not only would their time sorting the pieces into the correct order was wasted, but at least 15 of the pieces were broken or chipped. Dan walked out. He wasn't spending another minute fixing this bad idea. Sam looked at the other three, hesitating before he asked. "Will you help me put it together?" With Dan out Sam knew someone had to get the project done. It really was a stupid mistake. They spend hours meticulously sorting tiles but when it comes time to load things up to take them to the gym they try to save a few extra minutes by lifting the whole board up in one go. At least it didn't all break. Beth bent down to help sam start sorting the broken ...
